Terms of service
Last updated November 2, 2026
The agreement
These terms are between Kensho Communication, doing business as AIEZ.ai (Denver, CO 80126) and the organization that signs up for True Volunteers, and the people who use it for that organization. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you are signing up for an organization, you confirm you can bind it.
What True Volunteers is
Software that helps a nonprofit schedule volunteers, record and approve hours, send reminders and thank-yous, track milestones and awards, collect signed waivers, and produce reports. The plan you choose sets the number of volunteers. For organizations approved for texting, it also sets the number of text credits included each month. One credit is one text message segment.
Free trial, billing and canceling
New organizations get one free trial of 14 days. You choose a plan and add a card before the trial starts. The card is not charged during the trial. At the end of day 14, your card is charged automatically for the plan you chose, either monthly or yearly, and then again each period until you cancel.
Free for 14 days. Your card will be charged on the date shown at signup unless you cancel before then. Cancel anytime in Settings > Billing. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are never charged.
If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the trial or the period you paid for. After that the account becomes read-only. Your data is kept, and you can restart the plan.
If a charge fails, we email the account owner and give seven days to fix the card. After that we pause texts and emails to your volunteers until the card works. We never delete your data for a failed payment.
Yearly plans have a 14-day money-back guarantee. If you are on a yearly plan, you can ask for a full refund of the yearly plan price within 14 days of your first plan payment (the day your free trial ends and the payment goes through). The refund covers the plan price only. The texting setup fee and text packs are not refundable, including inside the 14 days. A yearly refund cancels the plan, which turns texting off. Refunds are issued by True Volunteers on request. Write to hello@aiez.ai to ask.
One free trial per organization. Prices are shown at signup and on our website, and we will tell you before they change. Payments are processed by Stripe.
Your account and your data
You are responsible for what happens under your account, for keeping sign-in details safe, and for the accuracy of what you enter. The account owner decides who else has access and what role they have.
Your organization's data, including everything about your volunteers, belongs to you. You give us permission to store and process it to provide the service. You can export it, and you can ask us to delete it.
Text messages
Texting is an optional add-on available to approved organizations.
True Volunteers lets a nonprofit send texts to its volunteers. Each text starts with the nonprofit's name. The texts are:
- Shift confirmations, reminders before a shift, and shift changes
- Offers of an open spot
- Thank-you texts after a shift
- Milestone and award texts, such as reaching a number of volunteer hours
- Check-in texts to volunteers who have not volunteered recently
- Invitations to events or new volunteer opportunities with that nonprofit
True Volunteers does not send fundraising or donation requests, newsletters, general announcements, or messages from other companies.
Right after someone agrees to texts, they get one confirmation text. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop, HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your organization must have each volunteer's permission before they are texted. The product records that permission and stops texts when someone replies STOP. You agree to send only the kinds of messages listed above, to follow the laws that apply to texting, and not to use True Volunteers for fundraising or donation requests, marketing, or any message people did not agree to receive.
We do not share, sell, or provide mobile phone numbers or text-message consent information to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Our Privacy policy explains what we collect for texting and how we use it. For help, write to hello@aiez.ai.
Texting: what it costs and what is not refundable.
Texting is optional. Email and in-app messages to volunteers stay free.
Texting is not available during the 14-day free trial. Texting has non-refundable setup fees, so it unlocks after your trial ends and your first plan payment goes through.
One credit pays for one text segment: up to 160 standard characters. Longer texts, and texts with emoji or special characters, use more credits. Replies from volunteers are free.
Turning on texting costs a one-time setup fee of $65 on every plan, monthly or yearly. This fee covers registration costs charged by our messaging provider and the phone carriers, plus card processing. Those costs are not refunded to us, so True Volunteers cannot refund the setup fee. It is not refundable once you pay it, even if registration is delayed, rejected, or you cancel.
Registration approval is not guaranteed. It usually takes 1 to 3 weeks and can take longer. Texting stays off until approval.
If registration is rejected because of incorrect information, fixing it costs an additional $15 fee plus card processing.
The setup fee and text packs are not refundable. The 14-day money-back guarantee on yearly plans covers the plan price only. Extra texts beyond your included credits require a text pack: 500 credits for $9.
If you turn texting off, your texting campaign and phone number are removed. Turning texting on again requires a new registration and a new $65 setup fee.
If you cancel your plan, your texting campaign and phone number are removed. Nothing already paid for texting is refunded.
Text credits, limits and pausing
Texting is prepaid. Each plan includes monthly text credits, and text packs add more. When a nonprofit's credits are used, texts stop being sent by text and go by email instead, until the credits reset on the 1st or a text pack is added. We never bill after the fact.
We may pause (freeze) a nonprofit's texting, with no refund of the setup fee, if we suspect spam or messages that break these terms, if a plan payment fails, if a payment is disputed, or if spending on its texting account reaches its limit. A pause stops texts from being sent. It never stops STOP, START or HELP replies from working, and email and in-app messages are not affected.
Acceptable use of texting
Texts are for volunteer messages only, sent to people who agreed to receive them: shift confirmations and reminders, shift changes, offers of an open spot, thank-yous, milestones, check-ins and invitations to volunteer. They are not for fundraising or donation requests, newsletters, general announcements, or content from other companies, and they may not mention categories carriers prohibit (such as gambling, alcohol, tobacco, firearms, cannabis or adult content).
We may hold a message before it is sent, pause (freeze) a nonprofit's texting, or end texting for it if a message or pattern breaks this section, for example a spike in people replying STOP, carriers filtering messages, sending to people who opted out, or repeated messages to the same person. If we end texting for a violation, the one-time setup fee is not refunded.
Using it responsibly
- Do not use the service to break the law, harass anyone, send spam, or collect information about people who have not agreed to it.
- Do not try to break, overload, or get around the limits of the service, or to see another organization's data.
- Waivers and other legal text in the product are samples. Have your own attorney review anything before you rely on it.
Drafts written by AI
Some features draft text, such as a thank-you note. A person always reads and approves a draft before it is sent. You are responsible for what you send.
Other companies' services
The service relies on Stripe, Twilio, and other providers. Their availability and their own terms apply to their part of the service.
No guarantees, and limits on our responsibility
The service is provided as it is. We work hard to keep it running, but we do not promise it will never have errors or interruptions.
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or lost-profit damages, and our total responsibility for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it.
Ending the agreement
You can stop at any time by canceling. We can suspend or end an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk, and we will tell you why when we can.
Law and changes
Colorado law governs these terms. If we change them, we will change the date above and tell the account owner by email when the change matters. Using the service after a change means you accept it.
